Where did your Bacchetta take you today?

Resurrecting this thread:

A nice little 20 mile ride through Needham, Dover, Sherborn, and Natick. Hoped to see SRC on his Sunday ride but no luck. Nice and calm with temps climbing into the upper 80s by the end of the morning.

Pictures are here: through Needham, Dover, Sherborn, and Natick

No Where! Only because a lovely thunder Storm and rain moved through around 5 AM when I was just waking up to go riding. SO, I rolled over and began dreaming... again!

Hi Waltzking, I rode that route last week with the Charles RIVERWheelmen on Weds. If you ever get a free Weds, let me know. We have a great bike club with interesting routes. We need more bent representation. There is only 2 of us.

My Aero took me out along the Springwater Corridor, a local Portland, Oregon multi-use Rails to Trails path. Along for the ride on my Aero Basso was my best friend gal-pal ; this was her first-ever ride on any recumbent and she rode 20+ miles like a pro. She's been lurking this site since I got my Aero almost a year ago and is soon to be another Aero owner. That non-stop Bacchetta grin was plastered all over her face today!

I LOVE these bikes! That's where my Aero took me today...to the land of Smiles...miles and miles of very happy smiles!

Around the block. More T-Storms this AM so I took the oppurtunity to really clean the chains on the Strada and the Giro. After doing twice the recommended cleaning - after all , these are long chains, I re-lubed and followed the manufacturers recommendaton to go ride.

Nearly 100 degrees and high humidity after the rains so after zipping around the neighborhood with our silent, clean, easy shifting chains we jumped in the pool.

Life is good.

My Giro 20 just brought me back from a round trip to the Idaho border from downtown Spokane on the Centennial River Trail. A quiet 55 mile night ride with an average speed of 17.1 mph. Just me and the bunny rabbit eyes glowing in the grass.

zoomcityzoom..is that Giro going to make it to STP? If so, there's about 6 to 10 of us bents doing the "Tweety Bent Bridgade" if you'd like to join us.

Itch'n to get back on me Strada. One thing I know for sure: I'm gonna figure out how to pack it up and take it on the plane with me to Shanghai. There's a club there called the "Flying Hairy Leg Cycle Club", all DF's. I don't think they've seen a recumbent in Shanghai. Will be interested to see the reaction to a dual 26/650 Strada.

Yo John, James, Jay, Jim (hmmm J conspiracy) Cletus, one and all, there's a spare room in Shanghai if you want to sample the Chinese bike culture.

jkeenan, I would love to ride with you all in the STP, but I'll most likely be recovering from surgery to fix my clavicle. Next year for sure though.

To the doctor's office.

Where I was told: Your knee needs rest. You are suffering from an over-use injury. It needs time to heal.

The prescription: Keep off it and no more riding for at least three weeks.

Well, I've put myself of an accellerated recovery schedule...no riding or stairs until after this weekend. Then I'm resuming training for RAGBRAI.

My Corsa and Aero have taken me around the upstate N.Y. Lake Ontario shoreline for 8 PERFECT riding days in a row. It was so stelar that I took friday off just to ride. A mere 250 miles total but the most fun I have had riding in years. This is my first Bacchetta summer!! My old fat body is starting to remember what it was like to be in shape!

I found a bike trail in a town called Grosvenordale, Ct. had a little lunch and a rest and came back in record time. I started clicking through your pictures and started thinking that these scenes look very familiar.

A few more clicks and I started recognizing signs and buildings...that I pass on MY commute!

Thanks for the great photo-diary of my ride. I'm the other Strada that you might see crossing your path along the route.

I did a 33 mile loop which is one of my regular routes. The route is fairly hilly with about 1100 feet of climb. I avaraged 19.1Mph today. I'm getting faster :)

Primary ride: Quest #193
Secondary rides: Trice Micro #2071, Bacchetta Strada
For Sale: Trice S
Under construction: (A very fast bike)

To the Cafe at the New Braunfels Airport and back. The Cafe has EXCELLENT $1.50 breakfast tacos and wonderful coffee.

IME you only find two type of coffee at rural airports, great and varnish. Don't drink the varnish.

Yes, I'll ride 30 miles for fair of that caliber and price, even though the return was into a 15+mph headwind. Good spin training.

The longer we ride these great bikes, the more we love 'em! Thanks, Bacchetta!

She took me on a 69 mile organized ride this morning. Pretty windy and pretty hilly. Had a blast! Coming up on one of the more hilly parts I passed two DFs. As I passed them I overheard one tell the other that they'd catch me on the hills. I had the biggest smile as I watched them get smaller and smaller in my mirror.
