I’ve just bought a barn find recumbent in need of some tlc and have been searching the ‘net to see what it might be.
it looks very much like an early Bacchetta, but there are no markings on it anywhere - it is a plain metal steel frame painted to look like alloy, and a few of the components appear to be of US origin (e.g. headset).
There is a clear frame number on the crankcase - RB 401 007, and the quality of the welding is superb, so it’s obviously not homemade. See photo.
Does this number mean anything to any one ?  How else could I tell if it’s a Barchetta ?, or anything else for that matter ?
Thanks in advance
