Howdy all!!

Been riding bikes for years..have a specialized hardrock I ride on the township roads...And a specialized tri-cross for the
asphalt...I would like to try out a recumbent but don't know of any dealers in this area..wichita ks...So maybe I can just
ask some general questions? Is there a particular type that works best on dirt roads? I have short legs..32 inch inseam..
What size would be best for me? Thank you...Red

Hello, I have been riding bikes for many years. My first nice bike was a Raleigh Grand Sport when I was in 8th grade. Since then I have had different road bikes Raleighs, Schwinns, Diamondback, Motobecane and a Bianchi. After numerous basketball injuries I needed to switch to recumbents. My experience in the recumbent world has been a Cycle Genius RDX, KMX Kyote trike and now I am the the proud owner of a new Bacchetta Carbon Aero 3.0. I have ridden it 3 times. Twice for 11 miles, and 40 miles on Saturday. The bike is awesome, but after the 40 mile ride I experienced sore shoulders. These have been the first rides since October, but I have never experienced the shoulders issue. Has anyone else had this happen? Thanks....

Really couldn't say..having never ridden a recumbent..As I get older the diamond frame style bikes can
give me sore wrists...Been lucky, the back has been good..Could it be that your arms are up fairly high
to hang on to the bars..?

Not sure, this is my first high wheel racer. Not sure if it is just my age and level of fitness, or if I need to adjust something.

I will get sore shoulders if my handlebars are too close to me. If I'm reaching for the handlebars or my arms have to stretch to get to the handlebars, I will have no problem with sore shoulders.
