Last Year This Date

While on a training ride south of Prescott yesterday a fellow with whom I'd been trading emails with regarding cycling happened to be driving by:

"Having just passed a couple of mountain bikers panting their way up those winding mountain roads coming out of Prescott, my wife was in a state of disbelief when I told her on our drive back to Phoenix, that it was just a matter of time until we runinto Doc Dan out here in the middle of nowhere. And sure enough, around the next bend, there was Dan spinning his way up the next climb. I've always respected Dan's cycling feats, but seeing him in action, he's in a different league than most of us!

Great to finally meet you Dan"

And good to meet you and your wife, Ellen, yesterday Ray.

And last year on this date I was pedaling the streets of Scottsdale. This year it’s Florida and I miss AZ. Next year I’ll be back in AZ

Time sure flies. We never made it back to Prescott this year, as life got in the way and we had to head back home a few weeks early. Still amazed at how Dan tackles the terrain up there year round,
