CA3 and ME -- and MY future in the `Bent Market'

I got an email from Jeremy today telling me that the CA3s are due in this week.  I'm `in' and am looking forward to getting this `steed' under me.

Yes.  Got it Friday.  Haven't had a chance to assemble it but ... soon.

any significant performance gains with the CA3.0 or is it just about added versatility?

Pretty much just added versatility… but some folks think the blue paint is faster!

My reasons for getting the CA3:
  • Large frame allows me to still have a very reclined (4-8%) position with the Railgun seat; less cramped leg position (with the medium frame and my very reclined position my knees rise too high and legs are too flexed).
  • Adroit dropout system and a disc brake tab so changing between 700c, 650b, 650c and 559 disc wheels is not a problem.  I plan to drop from the 700c to the 650b wheel so that I can place the flat of my foot on the ground when I stop and start.  Very helpful to me.  My Ti Aero (650c) is a much more `comfortable' platform than the CA2 (700c). The rear disc brake will provide me with much better stopping power.  (I had two thermal expansion blowouts with the wheel rim brakes last year).

Ti Aero fits 650c and 559 wheels. 650b (584) with appropriate tire is almost the same OD as 700c (622). I wish my Aero fit 650b!
